I went to one of our local malls back in the day. Apparently, I parked in a spot before some lady had a chance to park there. She then proceeded to "chew me out" about it all the way into the mall. Thinking quickly, I put an end to her BS by saying, very loudly, "No! I am not going to pay you $50 for sex! Now leave me alone!".

All because I parked in a spot 5 minutes before a lady wanted that spot. Good grief.

Never had an issue holding doors open for a woman before.

When I was 19 and working at McDonald's, I got in trouble for offering to carry a heavy box for a female employee at which point she went off on the manager saying how I was being nice and helpful. The look on the manager's face was priceless.

WTF? Never had a woman complained about me holding the door for her. But I've opened the right side of a double door for myself to go inside, only to have a woman on the left side coming out quickly moved to my side and squeezed through. Really sucks when I'm carrying something heavy, prop the door open with my foot about to walk in, and a woman brainlessly squeezes by. But whatever...first world problem.

I hold doors open for both sexes, particularly those who are carrying large bundles or who are elderly. It is polite to pause a second to hold the door for someone who is right behind you rather than let the door slam in their face.

I live in Texas (red state) and I still holds opens. One time I saw a lady cussed a young man for opening the door for her. And later saw her got into her car and she was not a Lefties. So it goes both way, both Left and Right have the usual aholes.

Having lived in Texas all my life, 99.99% of people are polite enough to hold the door open for everyone and in return you get a smile, nod or "thanks". No one has had the reaction the OP has, but if they did I would blame the brainwashing found on Youtube's feminist videos.

A very large subset of the mentally ill have adopted PC Culture as their banner. The people that you see on youtube having complete meltdowns, or the person you encountered holding open the door, are not well.

Don't hold it against the PC movement though. It is the right way forward for our society.

I hold doors open for people frequently regardless of sex and have never run into this. If I did I would probably do something like say "Oh my mistake - I only hold doors open for men and women who aren't assholes". Or say "Oh my mistake." close the door and then hold it shut.

Women are the worse at this, they will let a door slam in your face without hesitation. No situational awareness seems to exist with them, only they exist and they drive the same way.

Hold a door and most just waltz through like it is their god given right without a thank you. To them I just say "You are Welcome".

I Always look behind me going through a door and always hold for the next person but I dont let them pass first anymore.
