Just love being a contractor and having your task "no longer funded" and you thrown out with the garbage. Actually there is a bit more behind the scenes going on, as there always will be when someone loses their job.

keep working, keep getting paychecks because of a screw up in payroll, when the paychecks stop, keep working and start complaining quietly. eventually find a large sum of money in the boss's office where you go to get your stapler and then burn the building down
