Just love being a contractor and having your task "no longer funded" and you thrown out with the garbage. Actually there is a bit more behind the scenes going on, as there always will be when someone loses their job.

Crap, time to redo my resume once more. This sucks.

So sorry. :( While no time is a good time to get laid off, a month before Christmas really stinks.

One bonus in my job. I cant really get fired unless I commit some serious crime.

 What's that?

keep working, keep getting paychecks because of a screw up in payroll, when the paychecks stop, keep working and start complaining quietly. eventually find a large sum of money in the boss's office where you go to get your stapler and then burn the building down

You're in the Army right? I would have imagined 'Being Fired' would be risk #1...

That is the joy of being the owner, nobody can fire me. The downside is always having to come up with the cash to pay the bills, even at times when the business is sucking wind.

Speaking of Seinfeld, perhaps the OP should just start working at some other Company like Kramer did? ;)
