Upon trying to install a file from my desktop, I recieve this error. "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I'm on the only account on the computer, and it's the administrator. What's the deal?

EDIT: I think it's actually just the file. I can run other programs from the desktop. I moved the file and couldn't run it from another folder either. What would cause this? Just a corrupt file?

EDIT #2: Actually no, I can't run other install programs from the desktop either. Can't even save them to the desktop with Firefox. I disabled Kaspersky and now it works. What's Kaspersky up to?

EDIT #3: Wow, scanned the file (file in question is the mIRC installer by the way), and it says it has a dangerous object in it. Why the hell would mIRC be considered bad by Kaspersky?

zone alarm blocks mirc clients by default also.

i think its because you can potentially get some really bad stuff off irc.
