I put the wrong password in several times to a wifi spot, I now have the correct password. But there is no longer an option to enter it in when hitting connect. After hitting connect, it tried to connect, says there is an error and asks me if I want to ignore it. I am assuming because it's trying with the old password. I am on Win 8.1.

I went to network in the CP, and set up a wifi manually. Entered in the wifi name, and password. After doing so it was added, so it claimed. But still won't connect? Any help would be great.

Go to the wifi network list and clear out all the entries for that device, remove them. then try to reconnect to the device it should not recognise it and ask for a pass phrase again.

I turned wifi off, then back on, is that what you mean? Also, I am using a wifi booster if that matters. Shows up as "Wifi 2", I have my laptops built in wifi turned off.

No.

Right click the network symbol on the lower left of your screen and select
network and sharing center from the pop up.

A new window will open on the left hand side is a list, once of them will be
Manage wireless networks if wireless is enabled on the computer.
Click that link.

New window opens with a list of wireless SSID's remove the SSID's that match the one you are trying to connect to.

Close all windows down.
Then shut wireless off and back on if you want to clear loaded data out, probably not necessary but what the heck.

Try to connect again and it should ask for the pass phrase.
