For all the derision Sleepy Ben got during the primaries, I don't really understand why a mandatory public health savings account wasn't considered as an alternative to mandatory health insurance. It's not old and sick. Medicare/Medicaid covers the majority of the demographic you just described.

What you SHOULD be referring to are people that either have pre-exeisting conditions and are poor... probably comprising of approx 10% of Obamacare enrolments, While the other 90% is simply fatties that eat at McDonalds every night and we're wondering why their health started deteriorating at the 500th pound.

That isn't worth the investment. Unless the poor can strongarm the Federal government into subsidizing them forever they just don't contribute enough to be a real profit center (problem #2 with Obamacare).
