Not as cool as a total solar eclipse but still pretty awesome seeing the moon painted red by Rayleigh scattering due to all the sunlight hitting it during the full eclipse being filtered through Earth's atmosphere at a low angle (so it travels through lots of atmosphere) first.

About 8:45, I looked outside, saw the mostly full moon rising in the east and..."HEY! We might actually get to see the lunar eclipse." By 9:30...clouds had moved in...not even a glimmer of the moon.

Just went outside to check and surprisingly it's clear. I can see a very faint lit moon right now, pretty neat. Should have brought my camera to work.
