bah!

1700+ are overrated!!!

:)

I've gone through two tbred b's already....

only good 1700+ i've seen so far is the one that rommelrommel has which is running 2.363 ghz....

i have a 2100+ running at 2340 mhz

i'm hoping to hit the 2.4 to 2.5 ghz mark with air cooling....

hahaha!!!

naw, i dont think it's a cooling issues that's preventing me...

i just think i've hit a wall with all these processors... i'll get watercooling over the summer but for now... i just want to find a chip that can do 2.5+ ghz on air :) i think there has to be one out there!!!

to get a 2100+ to run at 2.5 on air you will most likely have to run at some "risky" voltages if you are planning running 24/7

2500 for me :)

but that was at 1.95V

there has to be one out there that can do 2.5 ghz with a lot lower voltage though...

argh... if not, then maybe watercooling is the way to go...

dunno ...

now i'm contemplating...

keep this 2100+ and get better ram? i was thinking a pair of the corsair XMS pc3200 (2-2-6-1T) $214

or water setup... a little less than $200

or do my original plan... cuz i think i can sell this 2100+ on the FS/FT forum for a decent price and sell my samsung pc2700 ram as well for a decent price...

hehehe.... SOO MANY OPTIONS NOW!!!

:)
