HP business laptops are some of the best, most stable laptops ive ever worked with. Also their touchpad is about the best around.

file a complaint with the bbb then. thats what it is there for

I've got one of the most read topics in the laptop forum...I'm the one whose HP laptop screen fractured for no apparent reason 3 weeks after I bought it and could not get HP to do anything about and found out that there were dozens who had the same problem...I finally did a BBB complaint and got satisfaction from HP. They gave me an additional 2 year warranty and included accident insurance. Go the BBB route...it worked for me.
