Don't eat sugar-free ice cream...

I don't have much of a choice because I (recently) have diabeatles. But I learned my lesson with sugar free ice cream very quickly. Most of them have sugar-alcohols in them like Molitol which are laxitives. They give you the shits, and make you fart. In fact, in countries like Australia I'm not even certain if they're allowed to use them in food products.

I'm not that desperate for ice cream.
 
Some lite, low-fat or sugar-free products are worse for you then there original counterparts. Orange sherbet ice cream is pretty good and not loaded with junk.
 
Sugar free stuff will cause this problem depending on the ingredients. Manitol is at least one ingredient that will cause this. If you need a laxative just go buy some sugar free stuff from Walmart's bakery, it's probably cheaper than laxative. Note that almost all sugar free baked goods are high in calories.
 
I'm also diabetic. Can't stand the taste of sugar-free ice cream - or the aftertaste - in addition to the other problem. And it screws up my blood sugar, which I know from testing.

Sugar free anything sucks. It's better to have a little bit of something delicious, than all you can eat crap.

Those little cups of ice cream (Ben and Jerrys, Häagen Daz...) are about 22g of carbs. That's not unreasonable when paired with dinner, and tastes much better than "lite" stuff.
 
When they say "Warning: excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect"...

...they really mean "Eat more than one bite of this and have napalm gush from your anus".
 
I had a manicotti fart today. It was very pungent and quite strong, but damn it smelled good to me. I guess the cheese with the mushrooms added a most earthy and tasty aroma finished with the tart bite of the spinach.

It was wonderful and will duece again.
