Hi all,

Just had a bit of a scare last night. I had comressed my C drive - no warning from Vista and upon reboot, it said Bootmanager compressed, press ctrl-alt-del to reboot.

Luckily I could access the web and searched for a solution - reboot with installation disk, when it askes for which OS, select 'Driver' and then properties on C drive. Unselect compress dirve and reboot.

My main concenr with this is that there is not warnign fro the OS that you should not compress the boot drive. Sub folders seem to be OK. This is not just a bug, it is a serious oversight.

I could have told you that. More than a few people have also tried that with ntldr on earlier versions :)

Agreed, if its not a multiboot machine and it IS the boot volume, a warning would be nice.
