Is the reason you don't have a gold medal, a better reason ?

Is it necessary to have an olympic gold medal to criticize an olympian? Is it necessary to be in the hall of fame to criticize a baseball player? She did a stupid thing. It cost her the gold medal. Is there any harm in saying that? 😕

Is there any harm in my criticizing the people who are criticizing her ? You seem to take offense..

I don't think she did a stupid thing. She did a fantastic job to be in the position she was in, and she won a silver medal. She didn't owe me an Olympic medal; I see no reason to feel anything but pride, as a fellow human being, who can only imagine how hard it was to get to where she is.

I personally am not trying to rip on her. She has probably jumped 10,000 times in her life without a fall. I actually feel bad for her, she was just a kid having fun. The crazy part is that she was so far ahead that even after she fell she got the silver. In a sport with 1/10th of a second makes a difference that is pretty crazy

ok, I'm watching the quarterfinals where Lindsey did a super job of not getting wiped out by another rider..

but my reason for posting is, she clearly grabs her board several times, and it's obviously not hot-dogging in this quarter-final, but part of style for maintaining stability and speed.

So I bet this whole issue is a mistake on some people's part about why she grabs her board.

she conceded in a news conference that there may have been a little showboating going on

bob is about to interview her...it looked she was showboating...

"you don't need a weather man to tell where the wind blows" <-- NBC is really her a new one 😀

A showboating winner is far more shameful than a loser. It's dishonourable and disrespectful. Her little stunt was nothing more than a "look at me". It was shameful when Muhammed Ali called himself the greatest there ever was and it's shameful now when she does this for no reason other than to show off.

In my opinion this was a case of Karma acting quickly.

If any sports lends itself to showboating, it's boxing and snowboarding. That's part of the appeal.

LOL @ her Costas interview. She'll make a great politician -- she did good ducking those questions 🙂

Serves her right showboating like a fool when she had it in the bag

No question about ... she really pwned herself with that little stunt!

Too bad because she was the best rider there & really should have won, but I guess she got what she deserved.

It wasn't shameful when Muhammed Ali called himself the greatest there ever was because HE WAS the greatest there ever was.

If you can live up to the smack in sports, you deserve the recognition.

I love watching boxing. the best fight i have seen one guy was kicking the others rear. it was pretty one sided. So he starts to showboat. he drops his hands and stuck his chin out. well the 2nd time he did it the guy knocked his ass out.

heh it was great. when he got up he was strutting around saying it didnt hurt him.
