I ordered a Sony DVD DVP-S560D player from them and it came via UPS with the UPC code cut off the box and double-taped. They are trying to pass this off as new. Bag inside box was opened already. Sony says they are not an authorized Sony Internet Dealer and the warranty wouldn't be valid.

They have given me stories about the UPC code like "oh our scanners sometimes tear them off". Or "Sometimes during inventory they are taken off". Right. They said "oh we can send you a UPC for your rebate". After further questioning they say they cut them off sometimes during promotions when customers don't need them. They have hung up on me during one call. Needless to say product is going back.

Buyer beware!
 
OK I can appreciate your mad .. I would be too. But it is not a hot deal and as your thread 2 days ago was locked ... do you expect this one not to be?

Herman, if you are going to try something here... Your quotes are taken out of context. If you read the threads those came from there were debates going on in the thread about the original posted deal,which I might add is an acctepted practice here. .
