GOD DAMM #@$@#^% WOODPILE!! I cut down alot of the tree in my front yard and after I finished, I put the stick and "logs" in a pile about 30' from my house. I was itching to use my new toy, a sleek black LED flashlight. So I was looking around our house and I noticed we have ALOT of spider webs, but the spiders were not-aggressive and they were'nt about to eat me. But then I noticed a HUGE black spider about the size of a half dollar hanging from my old bike. I looked more closely and saw a red hourglass on the bottom and knew what I had to do. I ran for the garage, grabbed a shovel and smased that b!tch!! After that I kept looking for more black widows since I killed one a month ago in the house, turns out there were 3 big b!tches on the woodpile!!! I killed them all with my trusty shovel. My advice, don't store wood if you don't have to!!!

There's a large woodpile sitting out next to our trailer waiting to be stacked. I bet there are at least 5 buried somewhere in there..

we've got a lot of old 4" PVC pipes and wooden pallets in the backyard, inbetween the pallets and inside the pipes are blackwidows.

SoCal, NoCal, most of Nevada. Generally all of the west has this problem. Of course in parts of Nevada you also get Rattlesnakes, who tend to keep the Black Widows away.

You know what else Black Widows like? The underside of unused bike seats. Make sure you clean them out thoroughly before riding.

Hey yukichigai, which city do you live in? Have you guys been infested by Mormon crickets or not?

The best way to get rid of em is to call the Mormons so that God will bring back the seagulls just like that one story! ;D

I encountered some of them on my vacation last week...there was one spot where you could hardly see the road...it was pretty gross
