Okay so I just saw the movie Donnie Darko and its a little confusing. Anybody wanna do some explaining?

Oo, have the DVD here. Its not hard to understand really, just watch it a few more times if you're having trouble. Im too tired to bother explaining anything though.

Well from what I could gather, there were like parallel universes, one where Donnie died from the jet engine falling and one where he lived. He somehow saw the one where he lived ahead of time and then saw who it would affect (his gf/mother/sister) and such and then chose to die.

Excellent movie. There are quite a few interpretations (I couldn't tell you which one is exactly right). I'd take a look here and read the Philosophy of Time Travel (written by Grandma Death in the movie).
