I've been hoping Nintendo would release a new Donkey Kong game. But this is not quite what I had in mind.
Anyone have reviews (personal) for this game??
 
They couldn't possibly ruin the original, this is an entirely different game altogether.

A pair of bongos, and an interesting track (music) selection to play with.

Having to purchase 2 seperate games, then sell one, just to get a pair of bongos is my only complaint. I'd definately rather do that, then spend $30 on some oem bongos.
 
Where's a 'regular' (non bongo using) version of Donkey Kong for GC?? Nintendo is really missing out on some great sales 😀

A non-bongo version is NOT in the works. An upcoming game - Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, utilizes the bongos, though it's entirely different as it is a side-scrolling action game.

I'm thinking of getting this game if I think my five year old son will enjoy it. Having to spend $25-$30 on separate pair of bongos stinks, but then again the Gamecube only came with one controller as well. Best Buy has the bongos for $25.50 this week and they probably will be on sale for less as they become more available.
 
Got this last night and it's very fun. There are 3 skill levels so most people can play. We may pickup a second pair of bongo's so we can do challenge matchs.... I can see multiplayer being addictive already..... and my wife hates most new video games.... but not this one 🙂
 
i LOVE this freaking game, it's like DDR for lazy people

so far I have all gold in Chimp (2nd skill level) and i'm letting my wife work on all gold on Monkey (easy skill level)

I have almost all the Gorilla (hardest skill level) songs bought and all the ones I do have bought I have beaten, but gonna take a while to get them all gold
