if you're in CST or PST go run to the ATM and deposit it that way.

The only branch in my town doesn't allow ATM deposits. :( Next town that does too far away to make it.

Is there a local branch of the bank that the check is issued from?

Go there, cash it to CASH. They don't need you to have an account there - and if they are going to deny it you'll know right away.

Isekii - a small town bank.

Odin - unfortuantly, the bank the check is drawn from does not open here on Saturday at all.

What state are you in?

Some states have laws that restrict banks from enforcing some date limitations on checks.

Why would you be so scared to lose this money when you never knew you had it until very recently? Do yield signs make you nervous?

I thought the issuing bank branch in your town was closed today ... ?

Regardless I'm glad things worked out well. :)

Scraping by for months and you forgot to deposit your paycheck? You'd think you would have deposited it the very day you received it or better yet have your company direct deposit it into your bank account.

Wait til monday.

In a messed up way, it was my way of 'saving' it. If it wasn't cashed, I couldn't spend it. I never got this far ahead though. It was because of my bonus, and the need had not arose for it yet. Then it just dawned on me like a sack of bricks.

Sounds like someone needs to get on a written budget and commit to it.

I thought it was too. I didn't know that their new branch had Saturday hours.
