Donavan McNabb is the best QB in the NFL right now

Manning? Not this season. McNabb has more yards and you think Manning could play like that with similar injuries?

i love the way he shakes off defenders.

this could definitely be argued to be true. i believe his numbers are the best in the league right now, although after the Mannings did their thing yesterday, not sure...

he's a gamer and a great talent. i'd love to have him on the LIONS! 😀

Hard to say. Manning hasn't suffered any injuries during his entire college and pro career like McNabb has this year.

Yes - and we all know that Manning's 4-0 record is not as good as the 3-1 that McNabb has because he has more YARDS.

some observers think McNabb plays his best ball when he is injured because he plays more like a QB and not like a Vick.

basically, he concentrates more on getting everyone else involved in the game because he knows he can't do it all. yet when it's really really needed (and he's not injured too badly) he can still pull it down and run it.

Playing through injuries - how about not getting them.

It is related - a running QB has much less life span in the NFL like a passer who has a good quick, hard to sack release.

not getting injured is also an important characteristic for a QB.

true... look at McNair. he likes to scramble, but he's taken a TON of punishment. mind you, he's probably the toughest QB i've seen in a while.

Manning is simply about the numbers.

If you discount yesterday's game, Brady would be #1 easily. He simply produces wins.

uhhh, the discussion is about THIS SEASON and since brady is 2-2 and manning is 4-0 i'd take mannings 4-0 thank you.

The record isnt everything either. Colts won on their D the first 3 weeks. I think that the Eagles lost their first game because of they lost Trotter. I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying. He just has a lot of talent. That was all i was getting at. Even hurt he shakes off defenders really well and moves well when he has to.

GO EAGLES!!!

Indy has been in much bigger wins and is more likely to use ball/time control offense to close a game down. Philly has been in closer games = more need to score late = more throwing.

I think Carson Palmer is the best QB in the league at atm.

Stats dont equate to a better player....it's often just more talent around them. I go with Palmer based on the flight and accuracy of his passes, vision, and good eliciveness.

and losing trotter is why the falcons were able to keep McNabb down.

it does sound like an excuse btw.

Yep. Indy actually looks like it has an above average defense this year.

Yes it does - something they have not had since they acquired Manning (to my recollection).

As far as the BEST QB in the league...I still say Manning.

I think he spreads the ball around the field better than any QB in the league. He had THREE WR's with over 10 TD's last season. I think even if you took away his biggest weapon, the guy could find a way to win. I can't say the same thing for a few other QB's in this league.

Right because he's playing OLINE too? On the play where he was injured in ATL he was in the center of the pocket, not scrambling at all.
