We're raising funds to place a TA ad banner on a high-profile, high-hits site.
This is to benefit all of TA distributed computing projects.

Our account is with Pay-pal and the e-mail name is ta_rc5team@hotmail.com

We're almost there with enough to do 30 days of hard recruiting!

Thank you to all the generous contributors!

Dan, post the referral link for new paypal users, so you get $5 for each person who signs up.

For you guys who dont have PayPal accounts, you can get $5 just for signing up, and if you are referred by the team email address, the Team gets $5, so you could give the team $10 just by signing up for PayPal and sending the $5 you start with, nothing out of pocket!

Yes that's nice but don't they take 2% of any spending over $500???

I heard that somewhere will have to try to find again!:Q

Yeah I know that's lots of money...lol but was just letting people know! sorry that I don't word things the right way😱

AHEM - Our account now stands at $150.00 🙂

I wonder since we're yacking our own money up to buy advertising, If Anand would consider running the same banner on Anantech.com for as long as we fund one on a commercial site? Just a thought...

I'm the contact. But FYI, the banner idea will never fly on Anandtech, he allready gave us a permanent banner.😱

Would it hurt to have Anand mention the increasing threat of haveing DPC pass us up? He might be able to drum up some interest. Just an idea from a small fry.

murdmath: I'm glad you brought this up.
Many months ago I remember reading on the front page of Ace's Hardware how they desperately needed more support on their RC5 team. Guess what? I joined.
<I hope Virge reads this message>

RC, my take on the banner idea is that it's a good idea, but in an experimental way. No one really knows how many people(if any) this will collect for TA, but considering it's only $350, I think it's an experiment worth taking. As for some front page news, I want to have TA.com's launch tied into a big front page blub, and possibly an article on Distriubted Computing, and all the differing TA projects, if possible.

Nope - ta_rc5team@hotmail.com

I set this account up so that I would not be co-mingling funds with my own. - then sent the account a donation from my pay-pal. Makes it alot cleaner - and I can account for everything. 🙂

My response to murdmath describes the benefits that can be reaped by having Anand do a front page story on our team. In the story he explains how we currently need more support (hardware/people) to keep ahead of the DPC and grab and keep the top position.

If you want to tie such a story with:
1. the going on-line of TA.com
2. article on Distriubted Computing
3. article on the differing TA projects

I would suggest you organize the work, associate deadlines with each piece of work, etc...

Well, you get the idea.

We can not afford to wait several months - I think you will agree.

Ahem -
Our account now stands at $175.00 Thank you donators!!!!!!

Have you made your donation yet? 🙂

When I say TA.com, I mean teamanandtech.com, which we own. It's just too long to type out every time when I talk about it, so I just use TA.com instead.😉

I tried but I give up. I signed up and when I tried to confirm it said my password doesn't match. I'm positive it was right but I went through the password change process anyway. I tried again and it gave me the same error. I give up...

EDIT: Okay, I logged in manually and confirmed my Email with the number in the message. I couldn't add a credit card or bank info though. I used BS info because I refuse to give out my real address and/or phone number. I HATE marketers!!
