why does he want a new card? so he caould play more games, right?

I don't think colelcting money for a new card for him is going to help his D- in spanish and C in algebra.

And besides, why should he desrve the money? give to unicef or something

i know how much you play cs. you could use that time to study, you know.

besides, you should be ashamed that people are giving you money instead of to people that actually need it, aka the homeless, the poor, the sick, etc.

I too agree with Wedesdo...The money should go to a &quot;good&quot; cause (ie. people who dont eat, period)...

Its a nice gesture, but in my opinion urbantechie should earn the Voodoo 3.....I dunno, the people at Anandtech buy you a card, and you promise to volunteer your time?

yeah, really. I think this card should be based on the contingency that he pulls his grade up to a B in both classes next marking period. I'd donate $25 towards getting him a geforce MX...

I think another condition should be that he won't get the card until his overall post/day statistic is <8

I actually like that idea, sort of gives him an incentive. But how would we verify the grades are what he actually says? Any scanned document can be manipulated.

I can have him mail me his current grade slip, I'll photocopy the sheet &amp; send it back to him, &amp; then we can do the same with his next one.

Not a bad deal, really. Pull up his grades &amp; get a GF2 MX for his trouble.

Awwwwwwww stop picking on him - it wasn't his idea. If people WANNA give him a video card then there's not one thing wrong with it. If I feel like donating a video card to him rather than feeding the hungry that's my personal choice. Geeeeeeeeeeeez people. Maybe I'll come to YOUR house and point out all the stuff you coulda done without and instead donated the money you spent on it. :p
