I got a call a few weeks ago from the FOOP and pledged to donate and they sent me a wallet card and a window sticker. Being that I get pulled over all the time for stupid crap, I thought it would not be a bad idea. Two road blocks this week, for example while I am on my way to work at 9am.

Planning to put the sticker on my car this week after a good washing....

Does having this sticker or card actually mean anything to a cop. Any cops out there? Do you think twice if someone has one of these stickers... Also the sticker is black and yellow, are there different colors for how much money someone gives..

It doesn't matter to them as much as the black & blue stripe sticker.

Ah, the thin blue line.... Why does that matter, what is it supposed to mean exactly. "I support cops beacause I bought this crappy sticker"

dunno, but here in TX the state trooper association has the same thing and the people will tell you straight up it will get you out of tickets. Whether its true or not I don't know but my boss has one and I don't think she has ever gotten a ticket from a state trooper.

I remember seeing a video of a woman being handcuffed because she was driving under the influence. The funniest part was where she said to the arresting officer on camera, "Is there any way we can settle this with sex?" I was like "WOW"

My friend had donated to a thing like this. He was pulled over one time and it got him out of a speeding ticket.

Anyone have a link or phone number to where I can send my money? I'd much rather pay now than pay later.

I recommend a fake military ID. You would also need to do some research so you have enough information to BS the cop about your unit, etc.

it really depend on where you are. In most places where there's military base nearby, cops are not very forgiving to military members.

I actually used to telemarket for the "FOP" back in the day, it was my first job. It was a total scam. I was fifteen at the time, gave myself a different name and would try to get people to donate to this organization. I have no idea of how much money was actually donated, but I do remember seeing a picture of one of my boss' yachts, so I'm assuming it wasn't much.

Weird... anybody know why this would be the case?

LoL, I saw that too. I think it was on that Wildest Police Videos show on FX. They charged her with attempting to be a ho as well as DUI.

Hasn't done anything for me...

I imagine cops like pulling over military because they know we won't argue.

Well, we're a rowdy bunch, so if it's in a military community, they're sick of us...They ask for your unit (of course you can lie), so I suppose your boss can find out if you don't pay or you argue and get thrown in jail...

And if you refuse to pay, it's easy for them to garnish your wages...we're both gov't anyway...

But I'd have to hear from a cop to know for sure...
