I'm going in to Blood Source tomorrow for the first time to donate some blood.
Just want to know how often do you guys do it...

The blood bank gives donors a pint of ice cream in return 😀

I think they would get more donors if instead of spending money on free icecream they gave the donors something like $5.
 
i give ever 12 weeks, i give Dbl red cells every time. ive been doing that for something like 7 years

i get freen lunch and a ticket to enter an end of year raffel for a TV, thats it.

the TV part is from work to try to get more people to donate i beleive. however we normallty get 100 or so units every time they are here
 
Nobody in the US pays for blood. That would give people who're ineligible an incentive to lie on the screening forms.

The Red Cross won't take my blood because I lived in Cameroon for 3 years when I was a kid. Guess they're worried I have teh AIDZ.

Anyway, I don't donate blood but lots of people do when they come in the school once a year.

No, I'm gay. Type O- too, such a shame that it could help so many people.
 
Unless something's change recently, I'm not allowed to give blood either because I lived in Europe in the late 80s.
 
Yeah, the inner crease of my elbow looks like freakin braille from all the pricks. People probably think I'm a heroin addict or something. Nobody ever gives me anything, my dad gets gas cards and BB gift cards and shit, I don't get nuthin. 🙁
 
I don't think I could handle it. I about pass out when getting blood drawn for tests. Not from fear, though I don't enjoy it. It's afterwards, I get super light headed and have to sit down for a while. I need my bloods!

I get this too. I get so sick that i dry heave and i can barely stand.

it's a lifetime ban for any male who's had sex with another male at any point after 1977.

and I could just lie (I've never had unprotected sex, not particularly promiscuous when it comes to anal, and I'm tested regularly regardless), but fuck them if they don't want my blood.
