I'm so shocked. This earns 3 "that's a shame".

Investors in Trump’s Truth Social deal feel “remorse” — and pulling out of $1 billion deal: report | Salon.com

Only thing that sucks is that knowing Trump it's all OPM. He does not like being embarrassed though. After all, that's how we got stuck with him in the first place.
I am consistently amazed at how people continue to line up to be scammed by this guy. Truth Social was an absolutely obvious scam from the very start. How could any investor fail to see this?

Typical pump and dump FOMO. Even a late investor can make money if they get out in time. Suckers who stay in too long get left holding the bag.

The Trump brand is nothing more than lead gilded in pyrite. Trump is the King Midas of Crap, the Pope of Pus, the Duke of Dumb, the Prince of Pricks, the legendary Ayatollah of Scam-you-rolla.

So why in the name of Limbaugh, Rove, Murdoch and Koch would anyone trust this guy with their money, their daughters and *cringe*shudder*........the fate of the nation? I mean the guy had a University named after himself by himself that was a shining example of the kind of accomplished scam artist that literally scammed his way into the White House fer cry'in out loud.

And still he is out there turning people's trust into despair and dismay. lol

It all has to do with what his most die-hard supporters yearn for: Complete domination and control of people they hate.

Some of those folks would hand over your first born to get what they want. This is why GOP policies are so cruel.

Turns out that one of the original co-founders of the company became a SEC whistleblower. His allegations of wrongdoing are now the basis of the SEC investigation, which is why there's been a delay in the deal getting approved.

Co-founder of Trump’s media company details Truth Social’s bitter infighting (msn.com)

The complaint, drafted by Wilkerson’s attorneys, alleges that the company’s bid to raise money via an investment vehicle known as a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, relied on “fraudulent misrepresentations … in violation of federal securities laws.”

He was a meticulous records keeper and gave the feds EVERYTHING. Some nice little tidbits like Trump pressuring one of the other co-founders to "give" some of his stock to Melania, and how Eric and Don Jr. tried to slime their way into the company ownership when they realized it might actually make some money.

And Trump’s adult sons — Donald Jr. and Eric — began asking for large stakes in the company, Wilkerson said, even though they had been almost entirely uninvolved. “They were coming in and asking for a handout,” Wilkerson said. “They had no bearing in this company … and they were taking equity away from hard-working individuals.”

Oh and Truth fired the guy for breaking his NDA because he talked to the feds in clear violation of whistleblower protection laws.

For those of us who don’t really do the social media thing, and never visited post truth social, here's a Gizmodo article that presents their “top 11” snaky-ist, oiliest ads

If they ever make a US paper currency with DJT's likeness on it you can be assured that America went straight down the toilet, never to be redeemed.

And through it all, in the eyes of his supporters, Trump is still the genius tell-it-like-it-is business tycoon.

How the hell these Maga folks can withstand so much verified factual truths about how dishonest and incompetent Trump is in order to stay loyal to him is way beyond the bounds where common sense and wide open eyes would have kept their sanity intact and see Trump for what he really is.

But then all of his failings and crippling personality disorders simply don't matter to them, does it, when they can simply imagine and dream away his liabilities just like that and envisage whatever they want of him in order to maintain that state of stupored denial they're in. I guess that's how every dictator came to power and behaved so despicably all while having their base of loyalists keeping them in power.

Fun story on this. Post civil war some dude in the south who had an undamaged print shop was tasked with printing “temporary” money. He was given minimal guidance because the the bills were meant to be a temporary fix. He printed money with his picture on it and that pissed off congress so much either a law or standard was passed that no living person may be on money. Trump would have to be dead.
However as we’ve seen Deplorable’s give zero fucks about standards or laws they’d just do it to own the libs.

What I've come to realize is that these people are so shitty inside they love to be horrible people so they will purposely ignore facts in reality because they have a leader who will let them feed that shittiness inside them.

This is why no facts will ever work with them.

Here's wishing and hoping that Sep 8 goes by without the deal closing or the extension receiving a yes vote.

It’s okay he’s got Twitter/X back

I small distant notion popped up in my mind awhile back about getting Trump back on X just so he could piss off Donny's critics was Elon's prime motivation for buying out Twitter. I mean Elon has already shown by his actions that improving Twitter's profitability wasn't why he acquired it, or if he did he sure made a mess of things trying to.

I feel stupid because there must have been some way to bet against this moronic idea and I didn’t do it. Everyone knew this was the end.
