trumphumpers are just as detached from reality as their orange idol.
I just don't know. Did half the population skip HS? Like, some basic math and science courses that help teach logical thinking?
I know not everyone is cut out to be an engineer, scientist, medical doc, lawyer, biz major, etc. in college, but WTF?

Edit: oversharing :p

They are political appointees, can be fired at will. I strongly suspect when the presidency changes parties most if not all new presidents would clean house immediately.

Nope, you are totally wrong as it doesn't work like that.

When they "burrow in", they are literally hired as employees of that particular agency and cease being political appointees as of the date of their hire. They then have the exact same civil service protections granted to any and all regular civil servants hired by that agency.

Again, this happens with every administration change. However, it is worse this time given that Trump's single measure of competency is they only have to show a willingness to smile while licking the shit off of his asshole.

Are you saying that they are hired as political appointees but somehow switch to civil service without having gone through the civil service qualification and hiring process? How is that done?

Yes. The head of a particular agency, with permission from OPM (who must approve the hiring of any person that served as a political appointee in the last 5 years), can hire a political appointee directly into a civil service position. Since OPM is currently controlled by Trump, it stands to reason that permission is already rubber stamped for any such moves.

It is the same method used by Michael Ellis (who was unqualified for his appointment in the first place) to move from an appointed position on the National Security Council in the White House over to be hired as a legal counsel with the NSA. He is the guy that tried to classify John Bolton's book, and was one of the guys that was feeding intelligence over to Devin Nunes on alleged Trump election survellience. Kash Patel (who started in an appointed position as one of Devin Nunes' own appointed stooges) was just hired by DOD to become Chief of Staff for Trump's new Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller. When Biden replaces Miller, he'll be shuffled off to some other DOD job. And, Trent Benishek was hired from an appointed position in the White House over to serve as the general counsel at GSA (who is still holding up the presidential transition process by refusing to announce Biden is President-elect).

All three started out as political appointees and are now working directly for Uncle Sam in $100,000+ per year positions. It will be very difficult for Biden to get rid of any of them as long as they keep their noses clean and stay away from any overt political actions.

His tweets seem to be degenerating, if that's even possible. He's regressing to the bottom-lip-protruding, tantrum-throwing toddler that has always been his core identity.

If you want to see how the "Liberal Media" lie has been used for decades to work the refs, just look at the "correction".

"Official sources called this election differently".

That is BothSidesDoIt™ language for, The Republican Is Fucking Lying To You.

That's why conservatives lie over and over and over again about the "liberal media". They're just working the refs so every time they get called for lying, they can project their lies onto the media reporting reality.

It's also why US Conservatives don't live in the objective, observable reality the rest of us live in. They've been trained to be reprogrammable meatbags.

That's not hair dye. That's what happens when you are fed a steady diet of MAGA for a number of years. Eventually you start sweating off the excess.

It's making the point that Trump claimed credit for the stock market gain in November, 2016, because he won, and is now of course taking credit for it now that he lost. Everything with Trump is heads I win, tails you lose.

It's so obvious to anyone that takes a tiny bit of time to do the research that he is a phony narcissistic con man, but tens of millions worship him. I mean it's just so so pathetic.

The denial is staggering and puzzling, a co-worker was "amazed" at all of trumps rallies in the closing days of the campaign, I had to remind him he did no real work, flies from spot to spot in a custom 747 in which he can rest/nap/eat in between stops and when he gets there he just talks for an hour or so. I had to coach him back to reality with these reminders,
trump university
trump steaks
trump vodka
trump airlines
trump Taj Mahal

Sure they went up, trump planned all along to cut taxes on the ultra rich and corporations in addition to adding more
federal dollars into producing domestic oil/gas then loosening regulations around air/water pollution.

But then the market also went up when he lost.
