Donald refers to impeachment as "COUP"

Pelosi will not want to drag Pence into this, but Trump is all but saying that he is going to. Trump is signaling to the GOP that they can't trade him in for Pence, if he goes down they are going to get President Pelosi. It is classic Trump, if he can't have it his way he will burn it all down.

It's bullshit. Should Trump be impeached Pence & the Senate will immediately swear in a new VP. Should Pence then be impeached, the process will repeat. There's no way McConnell will agree with simultaneous impeachment of Trump & Pence.

I agree, but a lot of what Trump says is not well thought out.
Personally I don't think that McConnell has any intention of allowing Trump to be impeached. I heard him the other day say that while the Senate has a responsibility to hold a trial if the House votes to Impeach, nothing says how long that trial has to take. He either intends to draw it out until after the election (which I doubt) or call for an immediate vote on if to remove Trump from office or not.

Voting Democratic will be part of the Insurrection.
Isn't just awesome that our Patriotic President and his Strict Constitutionalist supporters believe that Congress exercising its legitimate Constitutional powers, or the American People exercising their God-given and Constitutionally-guaranteed right to vote, somehow represent a "coup" or an "insurrection"?

I would say that only fascists speak in these terms, but then what do I know?

Amazing. Nearly 150k Trump supporters who have never read the Constitution.

I find it more amazing that I read earlier 4 in 10 Republicans do not believe the President refereed to Hunter Biden on the call, its in the fucking transcript the White House released.

no link its something I read earlier, likely on CNN or MSN.

Trump and his supporters hate the Constitution and are seeking to overthrow it and establish a dictatorship. If Trump is impeached and/or voted out next year, he will not leave office peacefully. If he is re-elected, he will seek to repeal the 22nd amendment, or similar, so that he and his family continue to hold power.
This isn't about capitalism or socialism, right wing or left wing, conservatism or liberalism, or even Republican or Democratic. This is about whether or not you believe America should continue to be a Constitutional Republic, with democracy and the rule of law, or a fascist dictatorship. Trump and his supporters want the latter.

Yes, if Trump loses the election in 2020 I would bet large sums of money that he claims the election was fraudulent and should be ignored. Then he's going to have over two months to marshal the resources of the federal government to try and make that claim a reality. That's going to be a very dangerous time for our country and the worst part is we're going to be left hoping that Republicans have enough character desire to put country above party as to stop him.

You can rarely go broke underestimating the character of the Republican Party so... yeah. November 2020 through January 2021 could be very scary days.

I can see this Trump never admits defeat. I do think it will be some sort of ham handed investigation to follow up on non sense alternative facts news.
He will ultimately leave, no way would he ever put himself in danger.

There is a reason for the studies that show Fox News viewers are the most politically ignorant. Republicans count on it. Nixon would have survived if he had them in 1974.

It’s worse than I originally thought.
