I think I just have too much faith in humanity. I think that if so many people want Imus fired, then there must be more to it and he really should be fired. But instead, I suppose it's also equally possible that many are simply trusting those who, unfortunately, have the secondary motive of making a name for themselves.

Imus is a coward. I lost all respect for him when he decided not to defend his 1st amendment rights for free speech and went on that stupid apology tour instead.

If another radio guy like Howard Stern would have made those comments, you can guarantee that he would have stood up for himself and wouldn't have let the bureaucrats who ran his show fire him so easily.
