Dominos is pretty bad, but Lil Seizures is by far the worst.

It's debatable. I think they've both equally bad. There are very few chain pizza stores that make good pie. Especially after you've tasted genuine wop pizza, as my Italian friends call it.

But people still go nuts for shitty pizza. Especially the uncultured suburban yuppies. We've got a chain here called Boston Pizza. It's a typical family restaurant. Their pizza is god awful and their food all comes from a bag but the place is always packed.

Lol, yes. I'm lucky to live in an area which has always had first class "genuine wop pizza." Nothing else quite compares to a correctly done pie.

I absolutely didn't understand, when, about ~20 years ago or so, the crap chains like Pizza Slut starting moving in, but sure enough, stupid people are stupid and patronize them in droves anyway.

I have taken to asking them to leave my pie in the oven a bit longer, because sometimes the kids will rush it out a bit underdone, which can really degrade the quality. You want that thin crust just crispy right!

You can always tell a good pie because a plain one can be JUST PERFECT all by itself!

Boston Pizza is horrific, they can't even boil the food correctly, always under cooked, won't even touch their pizza, looks like low quality frozen pizza

Maybe it was a price issue, I've heard Chicago has great pizza places, seen 'em on the food channel, looks great but probably quite a bit more expensive than the deals the major chains offer..

It was a taste issue....as in he has none. There are several local options that are a couple bucks more per pie and light years ahead in quality. Even the Papa John's down the street would have been an improvement.

Im not a chain store pizza expert. I dont eat it as my wife makes a bad ass homemade pizza. I did bite on the 50% off Papa Johns recently and if this good chain store pizza I'd hate to eat bad pizza. Honestly I'd take a digorno frozen pizza over Papa Johns anyday of the week. Standards for pizza these days are shit if Papa Johns is a good example of good pizza.

im sure your wife makes good pizza and im sure theres tons of local mom and pop wop joints that make good pizza around your place as there is by mine- but we're talking chains here. dominos is the worst of them all in my area. no other chain even comes close to their shitacular pizza. give me papa johns and their greasy mutant garlic sauce on their pizza any day over dominos POS.

As far as chain pizza goes, I like Dominos. I just ordered one of their deep dish before I saw this thread, I normally get their hand tossed. We'll see how it goes...

Chicken habanero oven baked sandwhich FTMFW, regardless of how the pizza is.

Meh, not very good. Normally a deep dish is just what the name implies, the crust makes a dish for which to hold toppings. All their deep dish seems to be is a second hand tossed worth of bread but the same amount of toppings as the hand tossed. I like their normal hand tossed as far as chain pizza places go. But this just adds bread and nothing else. I wouldn't order it again.

If you in the mood for self-abuse try Hungry Howies, you need the jowl musculature of a Hyena to eat it, it's that bad..

The ham and cheese sub there is addictively tasty.

The pizza is bad but I've had worse. It is cheap, if you get the $3.99 special.

I'm surprised when outstanding restaurants are surrounded by bad fast food with lines.

But one guess is that many people 'like to eat what they're used to', it's a habit - maybe in a couple meanings of the word. They're trained/accustomed.

And good food is wasted on many people. For them, 'it's weird'.

Let us know. I tried one recently, was disappointed. (50% sale).

The 'ok' pizza there (guess I mentioned this) are the artisan pizzas, at least salami.

I can't stand Papa John's, might be the worst chain. (BTW, big Republican donor?)

Back in the late 70's and early 80's they set up near every major college campus, and would take checks.

<<<THIS, and they had a Monday special my Dad couldn't pass up, plus he would wait at the door counting down the 30 minutes till free guarentee>>>

I went there with my parents a couple of years ago. My dad ordered meat lasagna. When it arrived, all it consisted off was two lasagna noodles in weak tomato sauce. No meat, no cheese. When he called them out, the waitress looked at him like he had horns growing out of his head. Their pizza is identical to Pizza Hut's. Same fried crap. Who fries pizza?

Out of the major chains here, I'd say Toppers is the best. Pizza Pizza is middling. We always get it when I shoot hockey games. You get sick of it fast. It's greasy and they use WAY too much sauce. I started forcing the crew to go to Popeye's or Pita Pit instead.

I have a good Italian bakery right up the road from my house, which is usually where I get my pizza. They have pre-made pies that you can just stick in the oven, slices, or ready made dough and authentic toppings. I usually get the dough and make it myself. Did that on Saturday.

I already did above your posts. :)

Not too good, really just more bread added to their hand tossed. I wouldn't order it again.

By the way, probably my favorite pizza, unique, is a southern ca chain called 'Numero Uno', which is different than the Chicago chain 'Uno Pizzeria'.

It's a sort of pan pizza with more of a light golden sweet crust. Haven't had one in years.
