Domain vs. Workgroup

I'm creating a small network for my office and have choice between making it workgroup or domain based.

What are the pros and cons of either?

Thanks

If you aren't sure of the differences, you should stick with a workgroup. Setting up and maintaining an AD domain isn't something you should do unless you know why you are doing it.

What functionality do you need?

i agree with Sianath, however if there is a lot of sharing of files, and maybe other things that need quality global permissions such as an SQL server, i suggest that you, or someone at your organization gets educated. its really not that tough, but don't expect to install win2k3 and have "no problems"

there are other reasons for domains, but kerberos is a big one in my book

Security would be the main reason for you to go to a domain. I really think you should look for some pro help on this as if you don't know the differences, then you shoudn't be doing it. No offense.
