If you found a decent name is it really worth it to register all the .*** as well as .com?


bobshair.com
bobshair.net
bobshair.org


And...if it was a one word thing, but could be easily duplicated into 2 words witha hyphen to go ahead and get those as well?

Unless you are really worried about it just get the .com, when people think of websites they always think .com

If you only had the .net and somebody else had the same name with a .com I can guarantee they would get a lot of your intended traffic.

Have you tried to view the whitehouse website recently?? LMAO (try it with the .com instead of the true .gov)
 
It depends on your intent for the name. If you plan to build a business around it, then it is a good idea to also grab at least the .net version. If it's just a name to screw around with, just get the .com.

what russ said. make sure you find someone other than network solutions though, because they rape you in terms of charges. find a nice cheap one that's 10 bucks or something. i use joker.com, and they've been great... pretty prompt cust serv too.
