domain printers

I have a printer that is hooked up to an WinXP SP2 box and connected on a domain. I have another Win2k SP4 box that is also hooked up to this domain. This Win2k box wants to print to the XP box printer. I can do it if the Win2k box is logged in to the domain (the XP box is irrelevant, as it can be logged into the domain or not and printing still is functional). However, when I am not logged into the domain, I cannot "see" the printer on the domain anymore. The setup I have requires I not be logged into the domain on either machine (this is a work-related issue and due to rights, security, blah blah blah, you get the idea... I can't stay logged into the domain). Is there any way I can access this XP-based printer from the Win2k box?

I have to figure this out before the end of the day because the weekend starts tomorrow because of Good Friday. They won't let us come in and get "overtime". It starts at 32 hours this week... dumb.

Create a local user account on the XP box.
Give that account permission to access the shared printer.
Connect to the printer from the 2K box using that new user name and password.
