i'm thinking of buying another domain name..

only thing i would use it for is email. mostly email for applying for jobs, and distributing to other people and the like.

what i have right now is:

thawall.net
manwhoring.com

neither one is particularly professional looking. well...manwhoring is a profession, but not really the one i want.

what i'm thinking of going with is firstname@lastname.info (.com,.net taken. .info = 2.98/yr, .org 9.69/yr)

dont suggest gmail or isp. i hate both. (and i already have a gmail account i am always signed into with igoogle. cant get another one. and i need pop3 capable.)
 
Huh? You can get another Gmail account... just go and sign up for one. Gmail also has POP3 capability.

maybe i should have been more clear.

i have igoogle as my homepage. i dont wanna resign into a different gmail account every time i want to check my mail. in fact, i dont want to ever have to use a web browser to check my mail.

i realize now that gmail has pop3 capability and my previous argument is moot, but that doesnt change the fact that i still dont want gmail.

uh... those are domains i have, not domains i'm looking at getting. thus, i'm not using those for distributing my email address.

mostly i gave manwhoring.com email addys out to my clan mates when i still played lineage 2.
 
Wait, if gmail has pop3, and you don't ever plan on using a browser to sign in, then both of your arguments against it just went away.

Oh, and if you're using google aps, I'm pretty sure when you login to that account, it's only active for that instance/url. If you switch windows and go to igoogle or gmail, it'll stay logged in on your main account.

^^^^ Just confirmed this, in fact, you don't even need to change windows. Furthermore, logging into google aps, then going to gmail, then navigated back to aps (back button or direct url) keeps you logged into your individual accounts correctly.

www.rubthepeter.com. ROFL.

(might register a .info of that for kicks, but it's definitely not what i'm looking for for the site >_< think i'll play around with that suggester some more.)
 
well, ultimately went with lastname.org.

after renewing manwhoring.com, creating lastname.org, and buying 5 whoisguards, total comes to $27.some >_<

If you did want to use a browser, you can use a different one for each email account.
IE:
Firefox for Fayd@gmail.com
IE for Man@whore.com
