I have been to GoDaddy and seen their "Domain Buy Service" which is $60 and then 10% of the purchase price. I have to assume that there are better companies in this sort of thing than GoDaddy because they don't specialize in this.

Basically we are interested in purchasing a domain from someone that is already using the domain. We want a domain name broker that will use all efforts to contact the owner directly via telephone as well as e-mail/snail-mail and get the ball rolling to see how much they want for the domain (if willing to sell).

What is the normal process like? Is a flat "research fee" plus a percentage like 10% standard or are there companies that do it for less and are efficient? What have been your experiences using a service like this?

Opinions? Experiences? Who you would recommend and why?

Sedo.com is the only service that I'm aware of.

However if you search and post on DNForum.com they'll definitely know where to refer to.

They even have a domain brokerage forum. Let us know how it goes.

That's for an unused/expired domain.
