Doh! New Computer Problems, Please Help!!

Hmm... if there are no beeps, then its either the processor or the Motherboard. If you purchased both at the same store, you might try to play it safe and RMA both of them (thats what I ended up doing). They replaced both of them for me, but In the end i realized that the only reason my computer wasn't working was heat related. Still, try to return them both if possible. The problem you are having can point to either a defective CPU or motherboard. But... i would have to lean more towards the processor...

Juat take the chip to a local Computer shop and ask them to test the CPU for you. Most any place will do it for free just for the good will.

Well once again I thank everyone for all the help, with trying over 30 dif solutions. I finnaly found out it was the dumbest mistake of all, when installing the mb I added one too many metal connectors that attach the mb to the case, in this case the connector wasnt touching any metal parts, so it was discharging the mb, so it would work at all.


So I removed the extra connector and everything seems to be doing great, thanks all
