I was hoping I can get a bit of performance boost by installing the OS on the dynamic disk that I've set up :(

I have software raided a partition with a IBM 75GXP and a Quantum 10K II U160 scsi drive.
Performance in windows is alright I guess. I have a dual rig and when the raid drive is accessed (transferring files) it doesn't seem to run full load, always maintains a 50% load. Is that normal for a SMP software raided rig? Anybody have played around with such a configuration?

Also, I would like to install 98SE onto the SCSI drive. The 98SE CD disk is not CDROM bootable. How can I place the scsi controller's drivers onto a 98 boot floppy and have it loaded during the floppy boot?

I'm not too bright in this area, so appreciate any help on this. Thx in advance :)

the drives are running at the speed of the slowest drive, your IBM IDE drive and that is what is slowing it down.

Now there's another reason to get another SCSI drive :) hehe

A pair of X15's in raid, mmmm, just imagine that....
