Because 99% of people wouldn't know how to do it.

My phone was rooted when I flashed to try at the Cyanogen Droid mod, but I reflashed back to stock to test out the official update.

I'm thinking about testing out the Smoked Glass mod now.

Look at Simply Stunning also. I've been using it and the helix launcher for a while now. Like it so far.

edit: Argh, I'm going to give Smoked Glass a try.

edit2: Do not use the Droid font. It seemed cool at first, but it sucks.

There has been no official statement from VZW or Moto. So far we have one "screenshot" and one "anonymous" tip.

They have two days to roll it out then, because they have said from the beginning update in the first quarter.

Updated mine this morning...no issues to report. UI does seem a little snappier. I had all the 2.1 apps before but uninstalled yesterday. This put the news/weather widget back, the gallery and I think there's an updated music player but I can't remember what's changed in that.

just download the file on your phone, and move it to your sdcard and rename it using linda file manager or something.
