When we had a dog, absolutely yes.

He (a very tall Springer Spaniel) probably spent more time on our bed than we did 😉

Cat, yes. Dogs, hell no. They aren't even allowed in the house for more than a few minutes at a time. They're farm dogs and they stink. 🙂

I have a fairly small golden retriever, and she sleeps on the bed. We kept her in her crate at night for months, but on a few occasions she hopped up on there on her own and just seemed so happy about it. I don't have the heart to keep her off.

Yep. Both of our rat dogs not only sleep on the bed, the little bastards get under the covers when it's cold, and one steals my dammed pillow if he can...

Heh, I get locked into position by our two chihuahuas. One sleeps between my knees and the other sleeps in my armpit. And I can't even pawn them off on the kids, the dogs cry until the kids let them out of their rooms and then they make a bee line for my bed.
