It's fucking difficult to do. TV's, computer parts, etc. are ALL "Made in China," so you don't have any options there anymore. I avoid "Made in China" when I can, but it's getting so there are NO options in far too many categories...

Please tell me you are joking. I am embarassed that my people eat dog meat, aren't you?

Why would you be? Other cultures eat horse and Turtles. Are you so americanized that you have become insensitive to your own background?

No... Why would I? Is this because dogs are cute? Its food.

What about people, freshly dead, from natural causes. You up for that, too, dog breath?

Pfff....if dogs could eat people, they would. Infact, non domesticated dogs would eat people. The dogs they are killing and eating are just stray dogs.

tell me about it ...

Even the garlic in grocery stores are from China. The gf (who's preg) & I had to search for non-Chinese Garlic. Finally found some that were sold regularly in a farmer's market, Trader Joe's (they've stopped carrying anything from China) and in Whole Foods (Argentinian garlic).

Here's my challenge to anyone -

Go to a grocery store and pick up a packaged garlic wreath / bag , chances are that it'll say Produce of / Made in China. Hunt around elsewhere for non-Chinese garlic

Compare the two

The garlic from China will be harder, yellower with flaky harder skin with 'boils' on plenty of the pods - and it tastes like ass compared to the other ones

I don't object to people eating dogmeat, I do object to how the dogs are killed. The traditional way is to put the dog in a sack and beat it to death with a stick. The bruising apparently is part of the process. That is cruel.

Are you ashamed to eat pigs, cows, chickens, etc?
Hindus don't eat cows, and Muslims don't eat pigs.

Hindus worship cows. Muslims don't eat pigs because scripture dictates they're filthy (had some before, tasty, DAMN TASTY, but still arguably filthy).

I'd try dog given the chance, but I think there's something about not being able to eat anything carnivorous that would get in the way. Look at what it did to cows eating other cows and shit, fucking mad cow.

Pigs don't prefer to be filthy. When allowed, they're actually one of the cleaner domesticated animals. Also, most (all?) fish that are on the menu are carnivorous species.

Maybe in New York, but here, most of the garlic is locally grown. (I live about 80 miles from Gilroy...garlic capital of the US) Look for Christopher Ranch for processed garlic. I don't know if they ship packaged "raw" garlic or not.

Philippines also export a lot of garlic.
