dog bones

I was always taught not to give cats leftover bones from food (in this case bones left from hot wings), and I was wondering if that applies to small dogs too.. I just ate some hot wings and I don't want the dogs to choke, but I figured they might like to eat a few wings minus the sauce next time I fix some.. Anyone have experience with this or you think it's a bad idea?

Bad idea ... chicken bones will splinter & can get stuck in your dogs throat.


Edit: It is actually possible to boil chicken to soften the bones & make them safe for dogs to eat.

For example Merricks Wingaling contains bones which are softened.

Cooked bones should never be given to a dog. Raw bone is fine, however.

I was always told not to give chicken bones to pets because they split and can get stuck.

Chicken and fish bones are typically no-no's, due to choking hazard.

Chicken bones raw are fine but not when cooked.

Fish and Pork bones are no-no cooked or raw.

Beef are fine raw or cooked.

Always been told no chicken bones.

My brother has a dog though , that I swear is a true junkyard dog.

He eats, boiled eggs, shells and all.
He dragged a dead cat into the yard and was eating it.
My brother buried the cat, dog dug it up, brother buried it, dog dug it up, etc until no more cat to bury.
The dog eats ice cream sandwiches with the paper.
Chews on aluminum cans.
Dog brought a dead deer doe into the yard, and wanted to share with everyone, ugh.
There was a tree stump in the yard, not anymore, dog ate it.

Its a black lab dog, and he has to be all of 100lbs+
Vet says there is nothing wrong with him.
Thing is the dog is playful, not mean in any way, except for the appetite
