I was reading a bit on Anandtech, and I saw our article as a Featured Article. I browsed through it and it struck me it was already showing its age.
We're asking for help to stay on the #1 spot in RC5, but the DPC have already passed us almost half a year ago; the Gamma Flux project can be expunged, since Distributed Science went Chapter 11; in S@H, we're not on the 15th spot, but on the 9th, and in general, there is a plethora of new interesting project going on (UD, ECCp, Capacity Calibration, Genome&Folding@home, etc).
Since the RC5 link is omitted now on Anands front page, perhaps it's time to think about a new article first before we ask him to put the link back up ? An updated and more extensive article could mean some new members who are needful in all projects we participate in.
Perhaps we could write an introduction detailing what has happened over the past 6 months in the different contests and what projects have ended/started, a step by step guide on how to join a project of your choice (a stripped down version of the FAQ's ?) and some more background information about the projects ?
Hey, don't mind me, I'm just brainstorming
But I do think we need something new...
