Doesn't it suck when a friend finds a girl?

In Short... Boy meets girl, girl likes boy...they hit it off. Girl is ok, rather childlike, but nice. No more fun weekends :(

Just when I was starting to like the "singles" routine, a good friend had to pick up a stray :(

Can't complain I guess, she's pretty mellow and likes to do guy stuffs...but it's just not the same.

Well, now you've got double date potential.

Get on it, soldier. The outlook can be grim for a geek, but we have faith in you. Go pick up a stray and play some mini golf or something.

When I was younger a group of us guys use to go Boating and drinking at the Delta about every other week during the summer. We would bring along girlfriends and such but we were all single (which means the girls where their for our fun) Then one by one we started getting married and those excursions out to the Delta started to be less enjoyable. The reason? Our wives. Petty jealousy's and hen pecking by the women. They'd also bitch about us if we were to get to wild. Eventually some of the group stopped going on the boating trips because their wives didn't like someone elses wife or another one of the guys. Finally we stopped getting together for these excursion all together and stayed home with the significant others ( to most of our chagrin)

I have many a good friend I hardly get together with anymore because their wives are total bitches and the ones I do see are like me, divorced from the old ball and chain and either with a new and improved version of the first wife, a girlfriend or stag.

Dog will hunt!

I think Red Dawn has it down pat.

As for myself? I'd rather not find anyone...just too much trouble.

It does suck, because women have this way of sucking up all of a guys time...

I have a girlfriend right now and it's great and all, but there is a lot of conflicts and problems I do not like to deal with. You just have to learn to put up with crap like that.

My best friend and I used to go out with two girls a few times a week on a strictly friends basis.

Then my friend and one of the girls decide to start dating. Personally I didn't think either of these girls would make good girlfriends... they were fun and attractive, but not terribly smart or witty. For me, the latter two are more important.

The point is there was nothing going on between me and the other girl. It was just too strange for the four of us to go out ever again. Completely ruined it.

Sometimes it does suck. for some reason I rarely like the girls my friends are with.. and when it's girls, very rarely like the guys they are with. i usually just end up not seeing them nearly as much when this stuff happens, and then seeing them again later on down the road... it sucks, but these things happen sometimes :p

i love it when the mate is totally cool and we can all do the same stuff still.... :D

She is a very cool girl, but all the beggining butterflies in the stomach crap is coming along. Oh well, perhaps some of her fiends (not a typo) aren't too ugly:)

Have this friend whom we used to hang out with almost everyday. He got a girlfriend, she's a friend of the group too so we though it'll be all cool. But then she started telling him not to spend too much time with us. Now he doesn't even come home to sleep anymore.

Maybe she is a team player?? Nothing builds upon a freindship like sharing a girl. If she really likes him she would do it.
