I, for one, believe in the brown dwarf and that it is the home planet of the lizard people who used the Masons to infiltrate the Bush White House and plan 9/11, and who forged Obama's birth certificate.

As for the brown dwarf possibly orbiting the Sun.... so what?
It's basically just like a warm Jupiter, maybe a few of them.

What's the doomsday discussion on this brown dwarf? Having a brown dwarf orbiting a larger star and sharing our solar system is not all that special. Well, kind of cool actually, to have one that's basically in our cosmic backyard. It's not like brown dwarfs have a history of breaking the laws of physics and divebombing planets after deciding to drop out of a perfectly good orbit, and short of that, what kind of doomsday scenario would a brown dwarf play into?

If there's a brown dwarf in our solar system, it's lukewarm at best (compared to other Brown Dwarfs, at least), and probably not much larger than Jupiter.

Keep in mind a brown dwarf was discovered recently, with an overage thermal output hovering around a balmy 100ºC.

WHat if the world should never end... ever!
I see it more like a society from BACK TO THE FUTURE II movie.
Crime, like that in Mexico, rampant in the US.
Drugs and gangs rampant. Controlling every city. Police out armed and helpless.
Streets patrolled by the military, also out armed and corrupt. Owned.
So many killings and death, the news cannot keep up. And no one really pays attention anyway.
A government so corrupt, the gangs and drug lords own every official.
A incredible gap between rich and poor.
The rich protected by walls of stone and steel. And always hidden from view.
No social services at all. None! Nothing.
Unsafe food. Unsafe drinking water. Few schools. No services.
Massive unemployment. Few stores. Polluted air. Streets full of trash and rats.
And then... people will wish the world would come to an end. But it won't.
Naturally, everyone will own a gun. And use it daily. And often. Or die!
In other words... the republicans wet dream...

Drives me fucking nuts listening to people talk about the "end of the world." Haven't we all agreed that there's this giant fucking thing out there called the UNIVERSE that couldn't give two fucks about whether or not we accepted jesus as our lord an savior? I don't get it. It's like we're all still behaving in a way that suggests we still believe the earth is flat.

And it's not a benign problem, either. This end of the world non-sense truly effects the way believers think about their environments which in turn adversely effects their behavior. When you exist in a world you "know" is not only temporary, but beneath you (since you've got your sights set on "heaven") then you start behaving in a way that treats the world around you like its disposable.

This is it folks. All you see before you is what you get, no more, no less. Make the fucking most of it and stop shitting where you eat.
