I bought a SBlive Value about a year or more ago.
EAX has never worked right.
For example Tribes 2.. if I used EAX instead of miles audio.. not only do my fps tumble, but everything is horribly muffly.
Everquest.. horribly muffled due to eax.
any game where I choose.. or where eax is force I get horribly mumbly sound.

Its been this way from win 98 to win me to winxp (I was hoping winxp would fix it)

Anyone else have this crappy sound?
Anyone know how to fix it?

I've had the same card for more than 2 years and I never had that kind of problem. Dungeon Siege sounds really cool with EAX on. maybe your card is defective???

i have three value live series cards as do many of my friends
mine and others do great as long as you do not use the creative sound drivers if you read the creative page months ago they said they no longer supported the live value oem cards

the ones i use are here

these have never let me down on the 7 computers i've used them on;)

maybe this will help you ,

Ive never heard of these drivers before.
Are they made by creative?
are they in english anywhere?

Ive used Creatives drivers.

And will these work fine with the live value oem?

My SB Live Value works great w/ the stock Drivers, although we don't play Tribes.

Wolfsraider - the link from the tweaker.net site was non-functional. But managed to determine kind of where it wanted to go and here is a link to fileconnect and all the files that they host. The soundblaster drivers are down the Audio link. Fileconnect

Here is a stupid problem that i have had with the sblive. I bought the SB Live retail edition like 3 years ago for like 200 bux. I'm running WinXP Pro now, and when I use the stock windows drivers everything is fine except no sound from my rear speakers. I download the creative drivers and sound works great from all 4 speakers. Problem is the creative drivers have these annnoying pop and clicks whenever I'm playing any sort of audio (no such problem with the windows drivers). Thing is driving me insane, with having to decide where to trade off. Anyone with similiar problems??

Please help
