So I matured from a quiet little nerdy kid in high school to a mature man. Suffice it to say that the new me doesn't have much in common with the old me except a penchant for the occasional game of Starcraft.
I got to talking with some girl from high school -- we're talking your typical 'smoking hot playboy bunny' level of high school girl here -- and she remembered me as "quiet and nice Alphathree33 from high school."
Damn, why couldn't I have been the man I am now in high school? Things would've been sooooooooooooooooooooooo much different.
It may be true that nerds mature into real men and earn a real salary and all of that stuff... but why can't we mature FASTER?
I remember on the last day of high school this same girl went up to my best friend and said something to the effect of, "hey - it's been a pleasure - too bad we never got a chance to sleep toegther, I always wanted to" and then walked off.
My friend just turned to me, completely unable to process what had just happened... the expression on his face was beyond priceless.
