Doesn't the OP have a 9800Pro? The 3DMark score he linked to is a rig with an XT. That should make a difference too.
I realize that. What I have been trying to do (unsuccessfully) is to show magratton that this guy did OC his 9800Pro, which is most likely why it is damaged. If mynewrigissick was running his Pro as he claims in comparison to an XT;Originally posted by: vshah

just disregard anything OP said, he's full of lies and BS.
...than he is running it out of spec and hopefully magratton won't back him on his RMA. This really isn't a witch hunt. We were all young once, and I can even appreciate his enthusiasm for hardware. I would like to see him back on AT forums after he learns his lesson, accepts some responsibility, and can share his experiences with others who might make the same mistakes and bork their hardware.plus my engine clock is clocked higher than his, same with my memory

Even though the original poster has been banned, this topic has relevance. The onboard sound (specifically MCP-T) has been shown to actually reduce the amount of dependancy on the CPU. In this case he is better off using onboard sound than using a separate sound card.
