The thermal output is high w/ just 1. When I turn on 2 systems, it really gets cooking.

PLUS! I have a Logitech Z-5300-e set, in which the sub heats up very much.... it has a HUGE heatsink on the back!

AND! This is Chicago weather. It was 91 degrees Farenheit today!

Ok, you win. I'll stop whining.

Now that the summer is starting, I need to have an AC unit running non stop just to keep the pc cool enough.
It is a P4 3.4, with 4 HDs, a 560W PS and a 6800 Ultra!

Now, if you thing a computer generates a lot of heat. try a plasma or a big LCD. Those things get really hot!

Wow. I had no idea everyone had to deal with this. Okay.... That's cool. So putting a small AC in the window of my office isn't too far fetched?

Do CRT's really make that much of a difference in the temp of the room?

I have 3 towers in my small-ish room (probably about 12ftx15) but the big space heater is my 19" CRT. Man I want an LCD so bad, but I can't afford the kind that'll match my lowly CTX UltraScreen.

That's the thing; I'm having to take the AC down 2 degrees to make it manageable in the office / computer room.

Awesome. So I'm going to get a window unit now. I just have to worry about the breaker blowing now. Joy.

Of course, it creates heat. I guess it depends on how frequent you turn the AC on.

Currently my room temperature is 102F with a 275 CFM fan pulling hot air out at full blast with all windows open (room dimention is 17x16 feet), and earlier it was about 110. The rest of the house temperature is 68F, and out side temperature is 66F.

my dorm room is quite small, so my comp + monitor heats things up pretty easily. and especially since im folding. my a/v receiver also adds a lot of heat too.
