Are these things a thing of the past or are they going to be around for a while?

I still use mine if for some odd reason I need a boot disk or I need to give something to someone that isn't worth putting on a cd.

not on my current one

Stupid dell integrates their floppy drives into their cases and i couldn't transfer mine over.

How much would one of these go for at staples nowadays?

I have one, I only use it when my printer is acting up and I need to take it somewhere to print it.

yes, just for the sake of filling up the 3.5" drive bay. my goal is to fill up all the bays on my pc. since i have another 3.5" drive bay, ill put an internal 6in1 card reader there. however, i made my computer legacy free cept the floppy so i may have to use something else in its place.

No I don't have one and I don't really need it ever. The last time I needed one for a windows boot disk, I pulled a floppy out of my brothers machine and used it temporarily. Other than that, I haven't needed on for a while. My old one busted and I haven't bothered to replace it in 1.5years+

I have one but it doesn't work anymore.
I haven't had to use it in a very long time, so I don't feel the need to replace it.

I have it and still barely use... a few times for the odd Word or Powerpoint doc but nothing other than that. Gone are the days when you could fit entire games on a few disks.

I think I still have an old copy of Star Control 1 for PC somewhere!
