Nope, its dos. You can even see the little MS wording when they turn it on.

what does it do?

we only use caldera DOS when reimaging, we might try to switch to WinPE next year is someone takes the time to finger it out

well ... the operating system that drives the POS systems in the stores is dos based. (about 4500 boxes)

We also have about 4500 servers running obselete versions of SCO.

ha ha. dos would be new compared to what some of the systems were at the last place I worked. They had this old CTOS system for emailing and stuff. YUCK! It didn't even have a 286 behind it, much older than that. Green and black monitors.... And this was a radio station!

No I don't think so. I'm not sure what software our IBM cash registers are running. Probably Unix or a custom OS or something.

We don't use DOS for anything except booting some systems in emergency, using the text editor, etc. No dedicated DOS boxes. Nearly all of our computer use Windows XP.... some of them use Windows 2000, we have a few using Windows 98, and one using Slackware.
