Yeah, they taste like some of the locally made chip companies we used to have around when I was a kid.
Back in the ancient times of the 1960's and early 1970's, stores didn't carry bags of potato chips. You had to go to a "chip shop", and they would give you a bag, or sometimes they would give you a tin and they would fill it up for you. Chips were made fresh daily, and they tasted a lot like the kettle chips you pay an arm and a leg for. My grandma used to get a 3 gallon tin filled from Deluxe Chips in Toledo for around $3.
