Does XP Home support HT, or do I have to use Pro?

xp home supports single processor, xp pro supports 2, it simulates a dual processor, so i imagine you would need pro, but i dont know

Really? I was under the impression that the only difference with Pro and Home was that the Pro had more networking add ons that most people don't use anyway. If that is true, then me purchasing a 3.06 p4 would not allow me to take advantage of the HT properties with my Home addition. Kind of kills any thought of maybe getting one of those processors.

No, XP knows the difference between physical and virtual CPU's, so XP home will still work with and utilize a single HT CPU.
