Does WinXP give inaccessable boot device error like Win2k did when switching HDD?

Im ordering a new, much larger HDD and want to make a ghost image of XP partition and load it on the new HDD.
I know with Win2k, it would report an inaccessible boot device if you switched IDE channels or for some even HDD.

I was thinking of putting the drive on my IDE raid controller. Will this cause inaccessible boot device?

also if I put the new HDD on the same IDE channel as the old would it work ok?

Thanks
Dave
